Title : 대규모 인구집단 시료를 이용한 질병 유전체 연구 동향 소개

Abstract : 인간 게놈 프로젝트의 드래프트가 완료된 후 유전자정보를 통한 질병연구가 증가하고 있다. 특히, 최근에는 전장 유전체 연관성 분석방법 (Genome-wide association study; GWAS) 및 차세대 염기서열 분석법 (Next-generation sequencing study) 등을 이용하여 유전자 정보를 분석하고, 이를 통해 질병 원인 규명 및 이를 의학에 적용하려는 시도가 증가하고 있다. 본 세미나에서는 최근 질병관리본부 국립보건연구원에서 수행 중인 인구집단 기반 유전체 연구 현황 및 한국인칩사업에 대해 소개하고, 미국 정밀의료계획(Precision Medicine Initiative) 등 유전체 관련 최신 동향에 대해 소개한다.
