TITLE

Large genome de novo assembly

¡¡

ABSTRACT

De novo assembly of a large genome, from NGS data, is a challenging task. As new technologies emerge, there has been many improvements on de novo assembly algorithms and shotgun genome sequencing strategies. In this seminar, general issues regarding de novo assembly of NGS data will be discussed, especially focusing on the recent development of PacBio long read assembly combined with optical mapping data.
